My next Cosplay I hope

As I've said before this girl has a nerdy side. And one thing i have loved since i was young was the Batman franchise. Movies, Comics, TV shows, Video games etc. One of the earliest Batman graphic novels i bought was called "The Killing Joke". The issue is now famous or infamous depending on your point of view for its graphic violence and implied sexual assault.

But it was also a turning point for the character of Barbara Gordon also known as Batgirl. In this issue Joker shows up at her home shoots her and kidnaps her father Commissioner Gordon subjecting him to psychological torment mainly naked pictures of his daughter lying in a pool of her own blood. It is also said the bullet severed her spine and she will never walk again. It was the end of the batgirl character and the birth of a new character. Oracle.

She first shows up in the pages of the "Suicide Squad" comic series as a faceless hacker providing that team information and going by the name Oracle. As time goes on she helps other heroes including Batman and Robin and her identity is revealed to be none other than Barbara Gordon now wheel chair bound but very capable. She has continued to be a regular in the comics and video games since.

I love the character because she is a strong female heroin who like me is also wheel chair bound. The only items i really need are the womens clothes, red haired wig, makeup and glasses a very simple cosplay to do. Now i just need the courage to do it. Most people i know who attend cons don't know my other side. I do have a friend who is willing to help with the makeup and if nothing else i want to do a photo shoot of me in character. If and when i do i will make sure to post pictures.
